First meet: Plainview

It was freezing...and rainy...but the GOCC Swim team showed up happy for our first meet of the season...a home meet against Plainview!

Most of us were happy....

all of us were chilly...as we huddled under umbrellas!

But we warmed up...rain drop falling from the sky!

As you can see...Coach Marilyn was in good spirits for sure!

All our swimmers got ready.....

and we got fired up to swim our best!

They love doing that GOCC Gator chomp!

And then it was time to swim!

Good luck Gators...big and small!

We swam for hours and temperatures dropped and night fell....

In the end...despite all the rain...and the cold...we WON! We beat Plainview and the victory felt so good! We are so proud of you Gators! Way to swim and give it your best!

Many gathered for pizza at Johney Bruscos to celebrate!
